This drop plate mounts a door closer on a door with an exposed back and a narrow top rail. It is made for the Yale 3301 and 3501 series closers. The plate drops the mounting point so the closer body can sit correctly on the door. Part 3158 691 is the Exposed Back/Narrow Top Rail, 3301/3501 Series version in Satin Bronze.
